High Fidelity
Just reading 'High Fidelity' by Nick Hornby. Someone I'm meeting up with not only recommended the book but virtually defined himself by it. Almost finished and it's intriguing. Perhaps more of that later.
In the meantime something about the music. The lead character, Rob Fleming, is a London record store owner and so the book is littered with music including Rob's top 5 - top 5 singles, top 5 dance tracks and top 5 best side one track ones. I've put them on a Spotify playlist here. I was surprised that they are so soulful. Always had a bit of thing for Motown and now it's cool - well according to a fictional record store owner.
There's also his top 5 bands or musicians who will have to be shot come the musical revolution! Sadly it includes U2. Nooooo!
